Green Eden is a new residential development in Omemee, Ontario, focused on environmental responsibility, creating a sense of community for older residents, and refining the pleasures of Canadian cottage life. The project is a cluster of 18 semi-detached houses and 12 apartments, all with views and decks facing onto the protected Pigeon River wetland, to which the residents also have access via a boardwalk and small waterfront park. The project will seek LEED certification through careful selection of materials, details, and systems.
Southern Houses (Units 19-30) Rear Deck View
These two-story brick houses are closest to the Pigeon River’s protected wetland environment. Featuring metal roofs and highlights of hardwood, steel and aluminum, the houses combine urbane and luxurious loft interiors with direct access to nature. Unique features of these units include large private decks on both levels, optimal southern exposure and views, and ten-foot ceilings in the main living area.
Apartment Building (Units 1-12) Exterior and Front Garden
The apartment building in Green Eden forms the heart of this intimate residential community. In addition to its twelve luxurious apartment residences (see details of these on next page), the building includes the following amenities:
- Private interior parking accessible by elevator to all floors
- An extensive garden and patio perfect for entertaining and enjoying the outdoors
- A private gym facing the garden
- Bicycle storage
- Two other communal rooms for games and gatherings
- Extensive environmental features, as outlined in the Green Eden information guide
